Donnie Grant, nephew of WC & Debbie Pate is the deputy sheriff who was injured on duty yesterday. From what I hear, he is in stable condition, but has a LONG recovery and rehab ahead of him. Please keep him in your prayers.
The following is a note from Debbie Pate (a math teacher at RCHS) from yesterday:
I just wanted to say thank you for all the prayers and concerns offered onbehalf of my nephew, Donnie Wayne Grant. It was a very terrifyingafternoon. We have received some encouraging news that they have notfound any internal injuries. He was due to have surgery around 7:00pm,but they have put it off until 10:00pm tonight because of some chest painsand do run a few more tests on the tendons and ligaments in his leg. Theywill place a rod in one leg. Then he has an ankle that is completelycrushed they will look into later. He also has some pelvic damage aroundthe lower region of his vertebrae. It will be a long recovery I am sure. Please keep him and his family and the entire Randolph COUnty Sheriff'sDepartment in your prayers

Prayers and thoughts go out to the family of Candace Proctor and the gentleman that was also killed in the auto accident last friday night. Candace's sister, Ashley is in my daughter's class and has played basketball with Spenser for several years. We came to know Candace through this. She was a very sweet, outgoing, and fun girl. She will be missed. Hugs to her family. The family of Mr. Ayers have also been dramatically altered. Pam Johnson works in the Georgia school system. She is familiar with the family. She told me that Mr. Ayers left behind a wife and three children. He has a ninth grader, a fifth grader, and a fourth grader. On a further sad note... his fifth grader is battling cancer. Please pray for this family.

Kayla, Tiffany, and John Cole's nana Joyce Stansell died last Thursday, please pray for this family.

RCHS VS Lineville... this friday at home, 7:00pm

Hope you have a great rest of the week!
Donna
