Sorry for the lapse... I was out of town...

Mason William Pike was born Thursday, May 29 2008 at 4:54pm. He weighed 7 pounds and 6 ounces and was 20 inches long. His mom and dad are Richard and Amanda Pike, his maternal grandparents are Doug and Kira Williams, his maternal great-grandparents are Faye and Dean Williams, and his proudest aunt and uncle are Steven and Ashley Lines... Congratulations to the little man's family!!!!!



WM GROCERY OPENING - Heflin
WM Grocery - Heflin opened June 2, 2008. Hours are Monday -Saturday 7am to 9pm and Sunday 9am to 6pm. Go see them for fresh produce and meat.

I have recently received several emails with information about ABDUCTION ATTEMPTS in the Oxford area. The Randolph Leader also reported on abduction attempts in Clay County. This sends shivers up my spine! Please, be vigilant with your children! If they are outside, an adult needs to be with them. Don't allow them to be near the road (where a car could drive by and grab them - even as you watch!). Most of the attempts were on older children and pre-teens, and a couple were even on adults... Let's ban together and keep Wedowee a safe place for all of us!

Prayer Requests: (I only have FBC - because that is where I attend, but please let me know of your prayer requests and I will gladly put them on!)
*Mrs. Betty Holmes is in the hospital in Opelika... she is continuing her brave battle against cancer.
*Richard Estes broke his arm this past week.
*Nick McKenney goes to the doc today to get the full arm cast removed and a smaller put on.
*Carolyn Daniel fell last week (while playing shuffle board) and had to have 28 stitches in her head.
*Ann Nicholson (grandmother to Brandon and Justin Nicholson) is having open heart surgery today.
*Ralph and Shirley Watkins daughter (sorry I am not sure of her name...) has received her first treatment for breast cancer.
*VBS at FBCW next week, 8:30am - 11:30am. Send your kids and help them learn of the Lord through "Outrigger Island"... a hawaiian themed bible school.
*"Summer of Survival" FBCW Youth will be traveling to Coleman Lake for a time of spiritual retreat. June 25th - 28th. They will participate in four days of "Survival", with devotions, challenges, free time, and lots of fun! Don't miss this awesome adventure with God. Sign up at FBCW or call Brian Phillips 357-9486.
