Just received a call that Will and June Thackston have been in a serious auto accident on I-20 near Eastaboga. They were headed to B'ham for a doctor's appt for June.
Initial word is that June has a possible broken sternum, is having trouble breathing, and is in pretty serious condition. Will seems to be ok physically, but he is terribly worried about June. The person in the other car is said to have passed away. Please pray for them as they are going through a very stressful situation right now. June is presently in St. Vincent's/St. Clair in Pell City (not positive about the name of the hospital). They are expecting her to be airlifted to B'ham.
I will keep you posted as soon as I hear something.

Update on June and Will...
June was transferred Monday afternoon via ambulance from St. Clair hospital in Pell City to AUB in Birmingham. Will has been very sore from the accident and is still very shaken. Initially, the doctors at St. Clair had said that June had a cracked sternum and a fractured vertebrate. We received a call last night around 9:00 and the doctors at UAB have determined that her back and neck are broken and they verified that her sternum is indeed cracked. Her doctor that did her most recent surgery is flying in from Chicago this afternoon (Tuesday) and will perform surgery on her Wednesday morning if her white blood count is up. I will post an update tomorrow after her surgery. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers.
