Nelson Family

A note from June Thackston regarding the Nelson family...

Friday, a car accident took the life of Jamar Nelson.

Timothy, Darico, and Robert were also injured. Robert was life flighted to Birmingham. We met with Timothy and his parents at Wedowee Hospital. Timothy was released. His crying for Jamar was heart breaking. Mr. Nelson's brother was found dead at 1:00 P.M. on the same day. That is where Mr. Nelson and his older brother were when they got the news about the accident. Loosing a son and a brother in one day has got to take a toll.

Please be in fervent prayer for this family, and also for the students of RCHS... Darico is in the 7th grade, Timothy in the 8th, Robert in the 9th, and Jamar was in the 10th. The entire school has been affected by the loss of this precious young man.

Services for Jamar are Tuesday, December 9th at 1:00pm. Weathers Heights Church. The church across the (side street) from Wedowee Middle School playground.
