Whew! What a week for all of our students and their teachers. Randolph County Schools began classes again this past Wednesday. From what I have heard around the campus, it has been a smooth start, but the teachers are glad to have the weekend coming on now. I hope all of you teachers and students have a wonderful year! GO Tigers!!!
Congratulations to Danny and Beth Bailey on the birth of their second son, Holden Lee Bailey. I saw Danny the other day and he said that baby and Beth were doing well, but Hagan is having a little trouble adjusting... Holden was born 07/29/08, weighing 6 lbs 15 oz, and was 20 .5 inches long. Congratulations again to the Bailey family! Continue your prayers for the rest of our pregnant mommies!
I was out of town this past week so I am kinda out of the loop... however, I did hear...
Gail Wortham has been struggling with her recovery from Carpal Tunnel... she took a fall last week, then ended up being dehydrated and ended up in Wedowee Hospital for 24 hours for fluids. Pray that her recovery is much more smooth from now on.
Barbara Thomas had a colonoscopy due to some pain that she has been having in her stomach... the test showed no tumors or polyps, but it did indicate Diverticulosis... he gave her some more medicine and will see her again in two weeks. Hopefully this will help ease her pain, but if not, we will go back to see her internist in 2 weeks.
Wilma Reid is also struggling with some Diverticulitis... please pray for these two women... pray that their pain will go away and stay away!
I had a tooth break a few weeks ago... not a problem, except that getting the work done flared up my TMJ causing lots of pain and swelling. The first round of anti-inflammatory meds didn't clear it up, so now I am on a muscle relaxant and a steroid pack... whew... it's wearing me out. On top of that, I managed to flare up a previously torn rotator cuff in my left shoulder (while hustling through the airport on our recent trip, I am sure). Dr. Brown is trying to take the pressure off, so hopefully I won't have to go to an orthopedist. It is a minor tear, and I don't want surgery, so pray that the pain will go away.
On the teeth front... Margy Israel broke a tooth and has been in some terrible pain (she has been seeing the dentist and will have a root canal on Monday) , I also heard Leisa Benefield is having some terrible tooth pain (I think she is also seeing the dentist)... I have heard of several people lately who have been having tooth troubles. I tell ya, when your teeth hurt, there is nothing like that pain. It also takes a long time for treatment... meds, root canal, temp crown, permanent crown... yikes!
