LOTS of updates!

Hello everyone!!!

**I was able to give Brenda Grant a big ol hug at church on Sunday! She looked great and said that the second doctor gave her a greater sense of hope. It will be two weeks before she gets the results of the second biopsy. She seemed to have good peace and said that she had REALLY felt all of the prayers! Keep up the good work!!! Also, don't forget to take care of their physical needs as well! It helps so much to know that you have an entire town behind you! Great job Wedowee!!!

**Mrs. Betty Holmes was at church again this Sunday!!!! She really looked good! Please continue the prayers for her! She is very weak! (on that note, anyone who has a wheelchair ~that they are no longer using~ FBCW is looking to keep two or three on hand so that people, such as Mrs. Betty, will not have to load up the wheelchair from their home, they are pretty heavy~ya know. If you would like to donate one, please call the church office!!! Thanks

**I didn't know this... but Robin Prestridge has recently gotten out of the hospital. Several tests have been run, and the doctors are still unsure of what is causing her symptoms... Please pray for her, Mark and the kids! I will try to reach her and get some further details...

**Mike Parker continues to recover from his appendectomy. It has been a slow recovery, with several setbacks. Also keep he and Connie in your prayers.

**June Thackston is still struggling with her blood disorder (a sort of "cousin" to cancer). She has been unable to come to church, so please pray for her to have strength and comfort!

**Nell Haynes has recently gotten out of the hospital. Pray for a strong, quick recovery for her.

**Brenda Beasley is struggling with chronic/severe back pain. She is unable to walk comfortably and is presently using a walker. Pray for healing and comfort for her.

**Barbara Thomas (my mom) went to El Salvador on her first (return) mission trip since my dad's death. She was hesitantly exited, yet sad that daddy wouldn't be there when she returned home. Once she made it down there, she became very ill and was pretty much in the hotel most of the time. It was very frustrating for her. The same symptoms have happened several times before, so we have an appointment with an internist next week. Just to rule out things. Hopefully it is just Montezuma's revenge, and she won't have to have any surgeries or anything. Please pray for all of us, pray for comfort for mom, and clarity for the docs...

**on the surgery front... Kim Norton is having a (personal) procedure on Tuesday, July 22 in Opelika. Sharon Daniel is having a (personal) procedure on Tuesday, July 22 in Carrollton, GA, and Mary Parker is having heart cath on Tuesday, July 22 (in Opelika I think). Pam White had a (personal) procedure a few weeks ago and is having a bit of difficulty in her recovery. She has an appointment today, please pray for clarity.

on the baby front...
Jamey and Misty Gray are having a boy! Pray for a safe delivery for the little man...

Great News... Rodney and Kelly (White) Almaroad are expecting!!! The proud grandparents-to-be are Bill and Pam White of Wedowee, and Wallace and Martha Almaroad of Jacksonville, AL.

Danny and Beth Bailey are due really soon with their second bundle, Chad and Ashlie Lee are due this fall, and Allen and Jennifer Robertson after that... and this winter Eric and Katy (Coe) Dunn ~they live in TX ...keep them in your prayers, and pray for comfort, safety and healthy mommies and babies! I hope I haven't left anyone off, please let me know and I will put them right on!

Tim and Suzy Coe just returned from a visit in TX with Eric and Katy... hope they had a nice visit!

Lots of families are traveling this week, trying to squeeze in that last vacation before school starts! Pray for safe travels!

Oh yeah... that brings up this next DREADED announcement: SCHOOL STARTS AUGUST 6TH!!! YIKES!!!! I always miss having my kids at home with me, but I think they are ready to see all of their friends again... not so much, school though. I would be remiss if I didn't mention that Spenser and her classmates now have a 'NAME'...nobody panic... but the class of 2012 are FRESHMEN!!!!! WAHOO!!! Can you believe I have a Freshman and a First Grader?!?!?! I know I can't believe it!

I am going to post a separate blog about the RCHS JV Cheerleaders Cheer Camp and their awards... along with pictures. Be on the lookout for this!

Hope you are all having a blessed day! Stay inside, it's too hot out there! Supposed to be 98-99 today! Yuck!
God Bless! D
